The Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) under Ministry of Power Government of India provides BEE Registration as a certification. The certification exists primarily for manufacturing companies and trade professionals working with electrical appliances along with importers since it enables their products to qualify for BEE Star Label ratings while demonstrating energy efficiency compliance. Some electrical appliances need BEE Registration as a mandatory requirement although others must follow it voluntarily.
